Volunteer Spotlight: Judy Mason

After retiring, Judy Mason began looking for opportunities to volunteer and give back with her time. She learned about Clean of Heart from her church, Corpus Christi in Lexington, SC, and has been volunteering since it opened. As soon as she read about Clean of Heart she knew this was the niche that God wanted her in. Judy now volunteers the first Monday of each month and any other time she is available to fill in. She feels honored and blessed to be able to serve Columbia’s homeless population and enjoys feeling happy and useful every time she serves at Clean of Heart. Judy would encourage other members of the local community to donate their time and energy because “the sincere gratitude of all our clients is genuinely heartwarming. To have a homeless person bless you is a gift like no other.”

During her free time, Judy also loves spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is very active in a local crime watch group as well as several social and political groups. Her other hobbies include boating, swimming, and reading. Thanks, Judy, for volunteering and letting us get to know you!
